Off the Wall

A Patterning of Plants

A series of conceptual art images.

Created to explore the notion of plants as patterns, and the parallels that show up in artistic practise and everyday life.

As featured on The Planthunter.

Selected works now available as a fine art prints, via Saatchi Art.

This body of work was inspired by the botanical wallpapers of William Morris from the late-nineteenth century. Each artwork is comprised of a series of photographs, digitally assembled into a whole, to form a pattern of plant elements.

I have selected creative crops of 6 patterned works to show here. Each pattern also extends into a large scale, high resolution repeatable pattern. I will be exploring surface treatment applications for these artworks as an ongoing project.
